A Pittsburgh man accused of robbing a house to steal Jewish relics

Pittsburgh (KDKA)-A Pittsburgh man has been accused of stealing Jewish relics from homes throughout the region.

Police said they found a number of suspected stolen items, such as books, portraits, and candlesticks on the branches, when they executed an investigation warrant at Andrew Clinton’s home on Pocassette Street last week.

Clinton has been accused of robbing Fox Chapel, O’Hara Township, and Lishill’s home. Police said he was investigating pretending to be a contractor, landscaping contractor, and HVAC technician.

“He used home refurbishment scams as a way to break into private homes, put them in cases, understand what he wanted to take, and later go back and rob them. I’m trying to retrieve those items and try to get them back in place. ”
