A police officer patrolling around 7:40 pm on Sunday noticed an unnumbered red Chevrolet blazer on the Ohio Temporary Employment Tag while patrolling the area on Highland Avenue.

Police reportedly pulled a taser gun at the driver and approached the car. A man called Ryan Fritz was driving and a woman was in the passenger seat.

The woman asked the police if she could check her child. The officer told her to stay in her seat. The report also said she was on the phone during the conversation and was trying to get someone to get a car.

Fritz told police that he ran because his license had been suspended. Police arrested him for the danger of a child and for failing to comply with police orders or cues. They also issued multiple traffic violation citations.

When asked for her license, the woman said she didn’t have it.

Police said they had five children behind them. Reportedly, a toddler in his career, a two-year-old booster seat, and three other girls aged 8 to 11 were pushed into the central seat without restraint. One was on the floor between the seats.

The woman’s mother came to pick her up and her children.

According to the report, the vehicle was confiscated because of the situation and neither the woman nor Fritz had a license.

The woman was released on the scene. Authorities say the claim is pending.

Fritz was transferred to Trumbull County Prison.
