PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Seven people, including five teenage girls and a 2-year-old girl, were injured in a shooting near a Philadelphia school on Thursday night, police said.
Philadelphia Inquirer report The shooting took place shortly before 6pm in the city’s Strawberry Mansions district.
The 2-year-old was listed in stable condition at the hospital. She was hit on her thigh. Five teenage boys were also hospitalized with injuries. Fifteen were in critical condition and the rest were in stable condition.
Police said the seventh victim was a 31-year-old woman. Her physical condition was also stable.
A motive was not immediately known and no arrests were made.
Philadelphia School Board President Reginald Streeter said the shooting occurred near an elementary school.
