Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (WHTM) —A Harrisburg man was sentenced to 18 months in prison on Tuesday for stealing thousands of dollars worth of stamps.
Harrisburg’s Arthur Gibson, 48, pleaded guilty to buying stamps for nearly $ 23,000.
Gibson purchased stamps from the Central Pennsylvania district and elsewhere in July 2019, according to the Deputy US Attorney General.
Gibson used a personal check, knowing that the funds in his bank account did not cover the cost of the stamp.
Gibson was also sentenced to three years of supervision release by Judge John E. Jones III of the US District Court for stealing government property.
