18 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Luzerne County on Thursday. 561 across the state

Wilkes-Barre — The latest Ministry of Health report on Thursday reported 18 new COVID-19 outbreaks in Luzerne County with no new deaths. The death toll is 830.

Since the beginning of last year’s pandemic, the county’s total number of cases is now 32,252.

In the neighboring Lackawanna County, there are 18,650 cases and 484 deaths. There are 14,964 cases and 322 deaths in Monroe County.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Health confirmed that there were an additional 561 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 1,218,418 cases across the state.

The state-wide positive rate for the week of July 9th to July 15th was 1.7%.
